Insiders say they’ve heard good things about the recent test run of the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s classic “Little Mermaid“.
Fans have only received a teaser trailer, and the full trailer will be released on December 23, 2022. However, according to new reports, viewers have nothing to worry about the quality of the footage, despite the not-so-successful choice of the lead actress.
According to some insiders, the test audience was delighted with the remake of “The Nutcracker”. The film is “far from finished”, but those in attendance called Holly Bailey “remarkable” and Ursula, played by Melissa McCarthy, “outstanding”.
The movie’s far from over, and Holly was great. Melissa McCarthy surprised the audience with her role as Ursula and seemed to be outstanding.
Insiders at ViewerAnon noted that the reaction to the film was “really good”, with many calling it “Disney’s best remake”.
The reaction to “The Little Mermaid” was really good. People were divided on the new songs, but the audience went crazy for Holly Bailey, and Melissa McCarthy was surprisingly good as Ursula.
While “Best Disney Remake” may sound like a high-profile claim, it’s not really as high a bar as you might think. Apart from The Jungle Book (94% on Rotten Tomatoes), all other projects were received ambiguously.
“The Nutcracker” will be released in theaters on May 26, 2023.
