Marvel Studios reportedly wants a sequel to one Phase 4 film to be released before Avengers: Kangaroo’s May 2025 release.

Despite conflicting with current plans, Marvel Studios reportedly wants a sequel to one Phase 4 film to be released before Avengers: Kangaroo’s May 2025 release.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quatomania is currently the only Phase 5 film that is confirmed to directly affect the Kangaroos, though rumors suggest that the film may present some surprises. According to Murphy’s Multiverse, the studio plans to release Shan-Chi 2 before the debut of Avengers 5.

Marvel’s yet-to-be-announced film release dates are July 25 and November 7, 2025, as well as February 12, 2026. So, after the last release schedule change, Disney has no free dates to do this before Avengers 5.

However, recent rumors indicate that Sony Pictures is eyeing Spider-Man 4 for a July 12, 2025 release. This could force Disney to push back the July 25, 2025 date by a few weeks to create a larger gap between MCU releases.

Charles Murphy suggested in his report that “Dynasty Kang” could be delayed, and “Shan-Chi 2” would be released on May 2, 2025.
