A reliable source at Android Authority has shared Google’s plans for the Pixel lineup through 2025. The site’s journalists note that the information may change, but the part has already been approved.

In 2023, according to the resource, Google is going to release at least five Pixel devices.

  • Two Pixel smartphones codenamed lynx (Pixel 7a) and felix (complex Pixel Fold) will be released in the Google I/O area (April to May).

  • The budget Pixel 7a will cost $449 the same as its predecessor, the Pixel 6a. The Fold is going to be priced much higher at $1,799 .

  • Shiba and husky Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, to be released in the fall on a new Tensor chip codenamed zuma.

  • Pixel Tablet (officially known).

In 2024, Google will have four devices on the market.

  • Smartphone akita Pixel 8a (release is not yet determined, depends on the financial performance of Pixel 7a, also Google can start to release budget models every two years).

  • Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro (komodo) and a smaller version of Pixel 9 Pro (caiman) all three on the Tensor G4 chip.

The base Pixel 9 will be the same size as its predecessor, the Pro variant will get a 6.7-inch screen, and the reduced Pro model will be 6.3-inch. You can see the analogy here with the iPhone, the iPhone Pro and the Pro Max.

Two possible strategies are considered for 2025 (depending on the success of previous plans):.

  • Autumn 2025 foldable Pixel in the style of Galaxy Z Flip, as well as the usual Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro (in two sizes).

  • If Google abandons the first plan, it will instead release four Pixel 10 two basic models and two Pixel 10 Pro models in different sizes.

Android Authority sources noted that further development of the specifically foldable Pixel Fold depends on the debut model in 2023.
