The only story expansion to Cyberpunk 2077 will not follow the Elizabeth and Jefferson Perales story from the main game. This was revealed by the quest director Pavel Sasko during the next stream.

In the world of Cyberpunk 2077, Jefferson Perales is running for mayor of Knight City, and Elizabeth has been running his campaign. The players meet the Perales when they have an unusual problem: they need a braindance expert.

As the missions progress, it becomes clear that someone is trying to make Elizabeth and Jefferson into their puppets, while significantly changing the couple’s behavior. Regardless of the player’s actions, Jefferson won the election and that was the end of his storyline.

In one version of the game, Perales offered the main character to become the head of his security service. In another, Jefferson began to suspect that his wife, who had also been a victim of the Braindance attack, was trying to rewrite his identity.

Fans noted that the Pellales storyline in Cyberpunk 2077 looked unfinished, and expected that a point in their story would be set in the sequel. According to Sasko, the line of quests Jefferson and Elizabeth had always intended was exactly like this without a clear ending. Something the developers don’t plan to change.

The Phantom Liberty supplement will be released in 2023.
