A V1 revision map was spotted on the MSI website.

This has reduced the power consumption of the device.

Nvidia partners have started releasing an updated version of the budget GeForce RTX 3050 video card. A V1 revision map was spotted on the MSI website.

The updated GeForce RTX 3050 has a new chip: the card is now based on the GA107 chip, not the GA106. The main characteristics remained the same: 2560 CUDA-core, 8 gigabytes of GDDR6 memory, 128-bit bus.

As VideoCards notes, the migration to the new chip has reduced the device’s power consumption. The new version of the GeForce RTX 3050 consumes a maximum of 115 watts, while the regular version consumed 130 watts.

Besides, the card has a new power socket now. Instead of the 8-pin connector, the new version of the GeForce RTX 3050 is 6-pin enough.

Apparently, an updated version of the GeForce RTX 3050 is already on sale.
