Escape from Tarkov Arena was announced in June.

The head of Battlestate Games and the head of development of Escape from Tarkov Nikita Buyanov as part of the New Year’s Eve stream on Twitch showed a bunch of screenshots of the multiplayer shooter addon with the subtitle Arena.

It was announced in June, and then there was no news. The closed beta was scheduled to launch in the fall, but it didn’t happen.

In Escape from Tarkov Arena, players will primarily engage in PvP modes on various Tarkov maps. The addon will have progression, lots of weapons, a rating system and more.

Arena will be available as a separate paid game and as an add-on for Escape from Tarkov owners. If you are a subscriber to Edge of Darkness, Arena is free.
