Released in 2020 on PC, and later on Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Flight Simulator is deservedly one of the best games in its genre. For more than two years, the developer Asobo Studio has been actively supporting this project, constantly releasing free updates with new content, and it has paid off.
Microsoft Flight Simulator boss Jorg Neumann said that in the 27 months of the existence of the flight simulator, more than 10 million players have played it on PC, Xbox consoles and through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
It is also reported that during this time, players have made about 500 million flights covering 40 billion miles. That’s the equivalent of 10 million trips around the Earth, or 200 trips from the Earth to the Sun.
In his post, Neumann added that they are “just getting started”, and the team already has “exciting plans for 2023 and beyond”.
