Suicide Squad: Mission Impossible and James Gunn’s Peacemaker will be part of the new canon.

James Gunn recently shocked Superman fans by announcing that Henry Cavill will not be part of the rebooted film universe. After that, word came out that all the members of the Justice League would be replaced.

This has led many to believe that DC Studios is planning to replace all of its stars, but that is not the case. As it turns out, Suicide Squad: Mission Impossible and James Gunn’s Peacemaker will be part of the new canon.

According to an insider on MyTimeToShineHello, Jon Cena, Margo Robbie, Viola Davis and Jennifer Holland will be reprising their roles in the following projects. The rest of the character of Zack Snyder will not appear after Aquaman 2.

Jason Momoa, as previously reported, will be taking on a new role. He can play the villain Lobo, leaving the role of Aquaman.

A full reboot of the franchise is scheduled for 2024, while details are expected in 2023.
