Assassin’s Creed Codename: Jade is an open-world mobile action. It was announced during a special presentation dedicated to the franchise. There’s more detail about it now, thanks to a merged video with the gameplay. The game is expected to be released later this year.
The developers have previously revealed that Jade will be set in ancient China, which is further confirmed by the video. In this gameplay, we see the player as Dengling Bai fighting invaders to protect the village of Jungning.
The video also introduces a couple of other characters, and one of them is Wei Yu, who fans may remember from Assassin’s Creed II. According to the second part, he speared China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi, in 210 BC. Jade will most likely be the one to present this moment.
Assassin’s Creed Codename: Jade is being developed for mobile devices on Android and iOS. Ubisoft has not yet announced a release date for the game, but since the gameplay was recorded from the beta version, the project could well be released in 2023.
