A new Transformers game may be in development, as the cut scenes from Transformers Rise have leaked online.
Transformers video games were released alongside each Michael Bay film, and then Activision developed a separate universe of games. Unfortunately, when Activision switched to Call of Duty and other franchises, the publisher forgot about Transformers. Paramount Pictures is working on something of a soft reboot with Transformers: Rise of the Beast.
There have been rumors for some time that Certain Affinity (Halo: The Master Chief Collection) is working on a new Transformers game known as Transformers Rise, and a recent trailer confirms this. YouTuber DpzLuna posted a video showing two screens from the new game.
It’s unclear if the cutscenes are actually finished or if they’re using concept art as a temporary replacement. It is possible that the game will avoid animated cut scenes and simply use voice-over illustrations to tell the story. Humans and Transformers working together to fight monsters using nanotechnology. According to DpzLuna, these kat scenes are from 2022, which may dispel speculation that the game was cancelled.
At this point, it’s unclear when Transformers Rise might be released, if it’s really still in development. The game hasn’t been officially announced. Efforts may be made to release it for the premiere of the next film, which will be released on June 9, 2023.
