Lutec, played by Joey Batey, vainly tries to figure out why he has his own incarnation in front of him.

With only hours left before the premiere of the Witcher: Origin prequel, Netflix has released the opening scene of the series. In it, Lutec, played by Joey Batey, vainly tries to figure out why he has his own incarnation in front of him.

The spin-off will take place long before the story of Geralt, Ciri and Jennifer. Viewers will be able to see the Continent before the Sphere Convergence, when there were no monsters on Earth and the world was ruled by elves.

A group of seven warriors set out on a mission to fight back against a new empire that has grown out of chaos. One of the squad members will become the prototype witch and gain the power to fight a monster from another world. A power-hungry wizard launches the first creature from another dimension onto the Continent. The puppet is the narrator of this ancient story. Why not work for the bard?

The Witcher: Origin is scheduled to be released on Netflix on December 25th, with four episodes. Meanwhile, the third season of the main show will air in the summer of 2023. It will be the last for Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
