Jason Momoa had previously raised expectations for Ben Affleck’s appearance as Batman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, but the new rumor may have brought disappointing news about the actor’s return.
Aquaman 2 is set to be released on November 22, 2014. Momoa has been at the forefront of promoting the sequel. The actor has also praised Batman’s return in the film. He said that the reunion was “fun” and “just hugs and kisses”
However, as it became known after the test screening of Aquaman 2, Ben Affleck’s Batman was not in the comic book. However, it is noted that the role of Amber Heard has not changed, and Willem Defoe’s Vulcain is also absent.
It is noted that this is not the final version of the tape, and the studio allegedly decided not to show Affleck’s return in the test screening, leaving it as a surprise.
It is unknown if Ben Affleck’s Batman would have played a significant role in Aquaman 2, but the absence of the DC hero may disappoint some.
The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25, 2023.
