A couple of weeks ago, IGN announced that the first episode of HBO‘s The Last of Us would be 90 minutes long. As it has now been confirmed, the actual time of the pilot will not differ much from the figure previously disclosed.
HBO’s Latin division has released a schedule of upcoming premieres, according to which the debut episode of the television adaptation of “One of Us” will run 1 hour and 25 minutes (85 minutes). The length of the remaining eight series has not yet been specified.
Producer Neil Druckmann had previously stated that the film would have fewer violent moments than the original game. He said that while the show’s creators decided to reduce the amount of bloodshed in the early stages of production, shifting the focus to other things, that doesn’t mean they’ve completely abandoned the violent scenes.
The Last of Us will premiere on HBO and HBO Max on January 15. The series will be published once a week.
