GameSpot released two big videos, which identify the best games of the year and determine the winner. The first video is a top ten. It includes not only Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok, which are competing against each other for all the awards, but also a whole host of other interesting games.

The publication highlighted:.

  • Pentiment.

  • Tunic.

  • Norco.

  • Marvel Snap.

  • Neon White.

  • Immortality.

  • Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

  • Vampire Survivors.

It’s surprising that of all the games listed above, only Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok qualify as AAA. The rest are great indie games or games with a small budget.

The game of the year was Elden Ring.

The second video is a collection of 12 games that I want to highlight, but they didn’t make the original top.

This is:.

  • Cult of the Lamb.

  • Sonic Frontiers.

  • Evil West.

  • Rollerdrome.

  • Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course.

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

  • Potionomics.

  • Signalis.

  • PlateUp!

  • PowerWash Simulator.

  • Saturnalia.

  • Tinykin.

  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

From both of these tops, it’s been a great year for indie games.
