Dragon Age: Absolution showrunner Maegrid Scott and executive producer John Epler told io9 that the fate of the sequel is still uncertain. A second season may be in the future, but it’s not currently in development.
Maygrid wants to continue Miriam’s story, especially since the season finale revealed a leading antagonist. The plot line breaks and doesn’t seem to be complete. It will likely continue with the release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the prequel to the animated series.
In any case, whether or not a second season is released depends on BioWare‘s plans. In addition, the release of the sequel may be affected by the ratings: critics from IMDb have received the cartoon series coolly, giving Dragon Age: Absolution an average score of 6.4 out of 10 possible.
