With newly released footage, fans can see what Channing Tatum might have looked like as Gambit in Fox’s previously canceled Marvel movie.
Gambit has long been a character that fans have wanted to see in a lead role on screen. However, in all the years Fox has owned the X-Men, the mutant cartoonist has appeared only once, when he was played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men: First Class.
Illustrator and storyboard artist Anthony Winn shared on ArtStation several storyboards from the movie Gambit with Channing Tatum, who never existed, and only now these works are being distributed online in fandom circles.
In the first image, Gambit is sitting alone in the back of a truck next to what could be his house, which is very small.
Obviously, there’s some contemplation going on as the bourbon bottle begins to fill with energy.
I’m guessing Tatum’s main character is upset about something. Any unpleasant memories of the past?
With a bottle of bourbon charged with energy and rage to the limit, Gambit throws the exploding glass far away.
So will fans ever see Channing Tatum as a card-shooting mutant?
Well, it’s more likely than you’d think. Why? Well, of course it is Deadpool 3.
