A British-based editor at yakadoodle123 has revealed what one of the filming locations for the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring looks like today. The show’s creators work out of Bray Film Studios, and the fan shot the sets with a drone.
The studio has built several large-scale sets: there is a fragment of the city of elves, a piece of Númenor and, apparently, a fragment of the Oroch tunnel, which was shown in the first season of the series.
You can see that the scenery is being built to about the second or third floor level: everything else will be created using computer graphics. The locals can apparently watch the footage from their homes – if they have binoculars.
The set was built over several months. Previous photos from yakadoodle123 show how the buildings looked in the earlier stages of construction.
The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring will premiere in 2024.
