Bandai Namco has released a teaser trailer for the visual adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land manga. The video features a deserted world of the universe, a group of heroes on a tank and a battle with a sand worm.

Sand Land is the next full-fledged IP company. An anime will be released in 2023 from Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga and ANIMA, and a video game may be in the future. The franchise is also promoted through the Bandai Namco Entertainment video game division of the Japanese company, so the game is probably not far behind.

The manga ran for only three months in 2000. The story takes place in a desert world where humans and demons suffer together from a lack of water. The demon prince Beelzebub and the sheriff of the small town of Rao set out to find the mythical lake.

We should expect more news about the franchise in the coming months.
