Apple was reportedly planning to release iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max with improved graphics processor.

Sources told The Information that at some point Apple was going to release the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max with an improved graphics processor that, among other things, supported ray tracing.

According to media reports, the development went very far, the company had fully working prototypes, but eventually Apple urgently returned to the Apple A15 Bionic graphics core. The iPhone 14 Pro prototype with updated graphics was reported to consume a lot of power, which affected battery life.
