According to a list of openings that appeared on Bungie‘s official website, the studio is creating a third-person action. The American developer uses its own Tiger engine, which was used in the development of Destiny 2, as the basis.
Bungie is looking for a lead gameplay engineer to help the team create a brand-new action game. The description also states that the candidate will be working with the internal engine of the studio on which Destiny 2 was created.
The project is likely related to the Matter trademark that Bungie registered in 2018. As for the release, the American developer previously announced plans to release the project on the new IP by 2025.
It is important to note that the Tiger Engine, which Destiny and Destiny 2 are built on, is a modified version of the Blam engine. The last one Bungie used to develop the Halo series.
