American developer Bungie has a new lead gameplay engineer position.

This year, American developer Bungie became part of PlayStation Studios. There were no details from the companies about the next project of the authors of the first parts of Halo and the Destiny series. But there are already some hints online: in the summer, job openings hinted at a new Destiny game, and in October, insider Tom Henderson spoke about a possible resurrection of the Marathon franchise. Now, another idea has come along.

Alert users have discovered that Bungie has a new lead gameplay engineer position, who will help the studio develop “a brand new third-person action game”. It also states that the candidate will be working with the internal engine of the Tiger studio, on which Destiny 2 was made.

It is possible that this new third-party action is somehow related to the Matter trademark, which was registered in 2018 by an American developer. As for the release of the new game, Bungie previously announced plans to release the project under the new IP by 2025.
