Enthusiasts have been activated with the release of the RTX version of Portal, starting to add ray tracing support to classic shooters using files from the updated puzzle. The other day, we had a demonstration of modifications for Battlefield 1942 and the original Max Payne.
The first one on the video can be seen here. It was modified by a Reddit guest named TheBause, and it still needs work.
The person behind the RTX version of Max Payne is a Twitter user named Alex Coulter. He made the noir thriller about a cop’s revenge on his family’s killers more atmospheric.
Remedy is currently working on remakes of the first two Max Payne films using its own engine, Northlight.
