Microsoft‘s $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard is the largest such deal the gaming industry has ever seen. The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority and the EU’s European Commission are investigating. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is likely to file an antitrust lawsuit to block the deal.

If that happens, Microsoft is prepared to take legal action. A recently published Bloomberg report says that the FTC is completing its investigation into Microsoft’s alleged acquisition of Activision and is expected to make recommendations to FTC commissioners soon.

Lulu Cheng Meservey of Activision Blizzard recently stated that the company would not hesitate to fight to protect the deal if necessary.
